Diversity Initiatives

Potentials works with a wide range of organizations, both domestically and internationally, to maximize sensitivity to and benefit from the diversity of customers, employees, leaders and other stakeholders.

Our experience is extensive, including training, assessments, strategic planning, design/implementation of initiatives, serving in advisory roles and individual coaching. Potentials established a forum for executives from major companies and has facilitated this group for the past 10 years. We are aware of the challenges and efforts companies are undertaking to support all staff in achieving their potential.

Potentials is comprised of coaches and organizational psychologists with expertise in diversity. Our team is itself diverse in gender, race, ethnicity, education, age, experience and perspectives. We view our diversity as an asset and use it to develop unique solutions to our client's needs.

We define diversity as multiple perspectives, including everything that makes us different from others.

The rapidly changing and increasingly complex environment places unprecedented demands on organizations, leaders and employees. A greater number of organizations are engaged in massive change efforts designed to improve competitive positions and ensure viability.

Potentials approaches diversity initiatives from a systemic perspective. Integrating respect for others in the workplace requires cultural change. Culture describes "how we do things around here" and includes the prevailing patterns of values, beliefs, attitudes and practices.

Organization cultural change requires thoughtful assessment, planning, commitment and implementation. Changing cultures involves aligning systems to support the desired beliefs and behavior.
