Conflict Resolution Skills Training
Conflict and differences in an increasingly diverse workforce are inevitable. However, conflict can take a constructive or destructive path depending upon the perspective and skills employed. Effective conflict resolution skills enable people to approach conflict in the context of building and maintaining productive and sustained relationships. When handled well, energy expended in conflict situations can be transformed into creativity and innovation. Expanded interpersonal conflict resolution skills are a powerful force for personal, professional and organizational growth.
The Conflict Resolution Skills workshop addresses:
- working with culturally different conflict styles
- understanding different behavioral styles and individual needs
- learning how to analyze the critical dimensions of cross-cultural conflict
- learning the five phases of the process for effective conflict resolution
- practicing critical skills including listening, dealing with resistance, suspending judgment, and asking effective questions
- establishing creative solutions and action plans
- working with customized-critical incident issues to address specific organizational conflicts
Programs are customized to meet the specific needs of each group. Follow-up is built-in to provide the full advantage for participants.
A variety of instructional techniques are used, including: customized conflict cases, audio feedback, questionnaires, practice and video.
